Book Review: Information Architecture for the World Wide Web (3rd Edition)

AmazonInformation Architecture for the World Wide Web

The “Polar Bear” book gets better.

Peter Morville’s update to Information Architecture is as relevant to any information architect or web professional as it gets. The new additions– such as an updated section on folksonomy, social networking, and modern concepts– are great and timely.

The core of the book is still here. People who would like a better grasp of Information Architecture and the fundamental issues that underlie it. The chapter on Design and Documentation is very helpful and informative. I personally think it’s the best chapter in the book.

The 3rd edition of the “Polar Bear” shows how dynamic the IA field is. No wonder the book has been acclaimed and is considered as one of the “must-have’s” in the Information Architecture practice.
